Materials

HC Rotterdam is proud of its beautiful complex and clubhouse. The fields are rented from the municipality, but the other materials belong to the club. This applies to training materials such as balls, vests and cones, but also to larger components such as dugouts, goals, training goals, sprinklers, corner flags, etc. All of them are indispensable for our hockey pleasure, but the costs for repair and replacement are a major item on our annual bill. budget. Help the club to maintain the condition of our complex and be careful with our materials. Speak to someone else if you see club items being handled carelessly.

Goalkeeper materials

Standard equipment

The teams receive a goalkeeper bag with legguards, clogs, helmet, body protector and gloves. Goalkeeper pants are provided for teams from youth onwards. If a guard, elbow pads or other protection is required, you must purchase this yourself. High costs are involved for goalkeeper materials: an average set quickly costs the club €600 for a youth team and this can rise for seniors. to €2,000. So please pay attention and good care for this too. The sets can last approximately 5 years with normal use and maintenance, unfortunately our goalkeeper sets do not currently achieve this average lifespan.

Goalkeepers are asked to take their bag home regularly to clean the material with soapy water and then let it dry thoroughly. All goalkeepers hate smelly equipment, but almost all goalkeeper equipment is stored damp in a closed bag and then automatically starts to stink.

Issuance and return

At the start of training, goalkeeper equipment is issued at predetermined times. Check the website/app for this. Lending takes place against surrender of deposit. The deposit of €50 can be paid in cash. This deposit will be refunded at the end of the season provided the materials are returned in good condition, complete and clean.

If you need the material sooner, you can indicate this when returning the material and a solution will be found in consultation.

If material is lost, the part to be replaced is replenished. The costs will then be charged. In the case of broken material, the committee determines the expenses.

You can return the goalkeeper bag in June. If your belongings are in good condition, they do not have to be returned. The deposit will then remain for the new season. If you think that material needs to be replaced, you can let the committee know at [email protected]

Line stop masks

Line stop masks are no longer provided by the club. The teams' purchased line stop masks can be used with any other materials (first aid kit, ball bag, blankets, water bottle crate, etc.) are passed on, or sold, to the team for next season. Line stop masks, which are in the returned goalkeeper bag, will be made available again next season with the same goalkeeper equipment.

Lockers

There are a limited number of goalkeeper lockers available. The goalkeeper bag with any training materials can be stored in the lockers. The rent for a season is €30. A padlock is supplied with the locker, with 1 key as standard. It is advisable to have this duplicated (for example for manager and coach) so that not only the goalkeeper has a key.

Information about locker availability, wishes for extension/cancellation or another location can be communicated via [email protected]

Training materials

Materials (balls, vests and cones) for the training are made available on loan. During the season we regularly have to purchase extra materials because they have been lost or broken. All this together causes considerable costs. Help the club and hand in any hockey balls and vests that you have found. Also take a look at the amount of hockey balls at home and ask yourself how many balls you actually purchased yourself. We would like to see the surplus (back) at the club!

You can hand in the ball pit in the entrance hall of the clubhouse.

Lost and found Lost and found items can be found in the clubhouse in the cupboards near the seating area next to the bar. If you discover within a week that you have forgotten your clothes or stick, there is a good chance that you will find them in these cupboards. Keys, telephones, bank cards, jewelry, etc. are handed over to the bar and kept there.

If you have lost something and cannot find it in the cupboards, you can email [email protected] or ask her at the competition table on competition Sundays between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Approx. The cupboards are emptied twice a month and the items are stored in locked cupboards. Twice a year, all found items that have not been collected are sold. The remaining items are sent to our partner clubs/schools in Africa and Eastern Europe.
